Find MyCook is a public community directory. This page explains what is collected, why it is used, and how a listing can be corrected or removed.
What appears publicly
Cook recommendations may include a first name, gender, areas served, cuisines, dishes, availability, vouches and a contact number when the contributor confirms they have permission to share it.
What we collect
- Information submitted through cook, review, vouch and reporting forms.
- Privacy-friendly usage analytics such as page views, device category, approximate region and actions like profile, call, WhatsApp and share clicks.
- A one-way technical fingerprint used to slow duplicate or abusive submissions. We do not expose this publicly.
How information is used
We use it to operate the directory, help visitors discover cooks, publish community recommendations, prevent spam, understand whether the service is useful and respond to incorrect or unsafe listings.
Corrections and removal
Open the relevant cook profile and use “Report this listing” to request a correction or removal. Reports are linked to that listing and reviewed as part of the safety process.
Third-party services
The service uses Supabase for data storage, Vercel for hosting and privacy-friendly analytics, and OpenFreeMap/OpenStreetMap-based map data. Calling, WhatsApp and social sharing open the corresponding external service.
